Well, it's Monday to me!

I realize that today is Tuesday. But it feels like a Monday to me, since I was on vacation through last night.

And, to get my week started correctly, this morning I got on the bus with Monkey and something ridiculous like 18 bags only to discover that 1) my metrocard had expired and 2) I had no change. Crap. Like I couldn't have figured that out before I held up the commute of 40 other people.....

Let's just say thank god for grandmas - one kindly swapped dollar bills for quarters, I paid our way, and the bus moved on. She even leaned over to confide to me that she, too, was just back from vacation and still getting used to things.

Monkey leaned over, too, to get closer and repeat "thank you." Damn, that kid is cute sometimes!
