Today is picture day at school.

At approximately 6:45am Monkey decided to become an acrobat and jumped on my bed and.....

wait for it....

....flew off and landed ON her face on the hardwood floor.

I'm pretty sure she’s got a shiner.

Monkey is in the habit of summoning me to her side for various reasons. More water, more pretzels, reaching a toy that is centimeters past her reach, etc.

She'll yell, and yell, and yell "mommy, come here" over and over again. And again. And again.

This can become rather, well, tiring.

So yesterday, when her highness summoned me once again, I was pleasantly surprised to find that her demand was "laugh with me mommy, laugh with me."

We stood at the window and laughed at the rain. Good, deep, belly laughs.

She can demand I do that anytime.

Modern motherhood

Our nanny is sick so Jellybean came to work today. If I could figure out how to turn it sideways I would.....but really, it's emblematic of how this Friday turned out (all messed up!) so hey, tilt your head and laugh......
